How do actors change their costumes so quickly?

It's not always easy! When I was doing Mamma Mia! many years ago, there was a quick change that was so fast I couldn't do it by myself. I had THREE dressers backstage helping me out of the suit I was in and into a completely new outfit. It is a very strategic and planned out process, and you even have to practice during special quick-change rehearsals. And I'll tell ya, we don't always make it back with our new costume on right, which can lead to some pretty funny moments on stage!

I have kids interested in theatre. Are there any community theatres in our area that they can check out?

Thanks for your question, Robert! Yes, there is the Dundas Little Theatre in Dundas, and the Village Theatre in Waterdown! Thanks for reaching out!
